Located in a historic area of the Stockholm archipelago, the project transforms an 18th-century timber shed into a summer cabin.
Traditional building methods are used throughout. The façade timber is fixed with wooden plugs, the roof is laid with reused 18th-century tiles, and the interior walls are plastered directly onto the timber using an old technique, before being finished with white lime paint.
The intervention seeks a quiet continuity between old and new, allowing the original fabric and the new work to form a coherent whole.
Situé dans un secteur historique de l’archipel de Stockholm, le projet transforme un hangar en bois du XVIIIe siècle en cabane d’été.
Les travaux s’appuient sur des méthodes traditionnelles : bardage fixé par chevilles en bois, tuiles anciennes réemployées, murs enduits directement sur le bois et finis à la chaux blanche. L’intervention cherche une continuité discrète entre l’ancien et le nouveau.
